Liquid Storytelling: More than just bartenders and drinks
At The Blue Pearl, nothing is ordinary. Our concept is based on a multisensory approach that engages all six senses. As a bartender, you are the alchemist of this universe. Our guests don’t just come to quench their thirst; they come for the „Liquid Storytelling.“ You create signature drinks that are structured like theatrical performances. Take, for example, the “Pearl’s Dream”: a composition of champagne, yuzu, and vanilla salt, crowned with an aromatic bubble that releases the scent of a sea breeze when it bursts at the table. Or the “Poseidon’s Whisper,” served in a spectacular seashell glass, enveloped in a smoky display.
Your task is to bring these liquid works of art to life with precision and passion. You’ll work with designer glasses shaped like flamingos or snakes and use edible glitter to make the “Blue Pearl” brand visible in the glass.
Work with a legend: Tino Kasner
Why is this bartender job different from all the others in Berlin? Because you’ll learn from the best. Our head bartender is Tino Kasner, an icon of the Berlin bar scene, known from establishments like Hemingway and Wilde Matilde. Tino isn’t just your boss; he’s an innovator and performer. Together with him, you’ll further develop the „Signature Cocktail Universe.“ He’ll give you the creative freedom to contribute your own ideas. We’re not looking for mere order-takers, but creative minds who are eager to experiment with textures, temperatures, and states of matter. In our molecular bar, you’ll work with dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and specialized fragrance systems.
Two Worlds: From the Captain’s Room to the Club
Your work as a bartender with us is extremely varied, as you’ll be working in two completely different atmospheres.
First, there’s the Captain’s Room. This is our luxurious cigar and cognac room, designed in the style of an English officer’s lounge with heavy Chesterfield furniture and wood paneling. Here, you’ll celebrate the art of classic bar culture. You’ll serve rarities, such as cognacs where 1 cl costs up to €150, and advise connoisseurs on exclusive rums and whiskeys. Discretion, expertise, and elegance are essential here.
On weekends, after dinner, The Blue Pearl transforms into a vibrant luxury club. The lights change, international DJs spin, and the atmosphere becomes electrifying. As a bartender, you’re now the entertainer of the night. You mix high-volume drinks for dancing guests in evening attire, ensuring that every drink meets our high quality standards despite the fast pace. This duality of understated exclusivity and energetic clubbing is what makes the job so exciting.
World-Class Equipment and Ingredients
To ensure you deliver outstanding bartending, we provide you with the best equipment. Our bar stations are custom-built for efficiency and visual impact. We use only premium spirits and the freshest ingredients. Our syrups and infusions are homemade, often in collaboration with the kitchen to create synergies between the menu and accompanying drinks. You’ll become part of a team that lives and breathes perfection.
